I attempted to make a mushroom barley soup, but it came out almost tasting like a risotto. Needless to say, I know the kids are not overly fond of soup, so I made them grilled cheeses (which seem like a nice compliment to soup) and then put some of the barley dish on the side, along with some lettuce from the salad. The verdict: they both ate one piece of barley! I will count that as a success :) |
